Adopt-a-Block & Help Prevent Crime

Your contribution will help us buy tools, window locks, door locks, trash bags, paint, light fixtures, motion sensors, bulbs, plants, flowers etc, etc.(Transforming our community one block at a time)

Volunteers work to help families in the neighborhood beautify their area by cleaning around the exterior of homes as well as helping them with minor cosmetic projects both inside and out of their homes.  We also work on maintaining public use areas such as sidewalks, and parks.

Annually we recruit volunteers to participate in the national Great America Clean Up Day, which is organized and celebrated  locally by Fort Wayne City Administration officials. In 2012,, Bridge of Grace developed an alliance with the Levan R. Scott Academy, and together we recruited close to 100 volunteers.

Our organization partners with NeighborLink Fort Wayne, and we have two qualified coaches who lead.  NeighborLink Fort Wayne invites Fort Wayne residents and organizations to seek free assistance from their neighbors and invites Fort Wayne residents to join volunteer project teams to provide free assistance.  NeighborLink’s mission is practical, neighbor-to-neighbor expressions of God's love.  The NeighborLink Fort Wayne web page has three primary functions: Project Posting, Project Selection, and Volunteer Sign-Up.

Goals:

1) To meet the physical and spiritual needs of individuals within our immediate community when possible.

2) To provide Godly role models and build a relationship with our neighbors in the community.
