Life Skills Training
We assist residents in our area in economic development by provide adult job training and working with the business sector in finding ways to place constituents in job placement. Because of their difficult family dynamics, many of our area residents lack the everyday skills we take for granted. For Bridge of Grace this will include teaching and developing competencies in the use of household tools and equipment, such as cooking, sewing, and home and auto repair, and interpersonal skills, such as anger management, marriage, and parenting.
Goals: (1) To meet the physical and spiritual needs of individuals within our immediate community when possible. (2) To provide Godly role models and build a relationship with our neighbors in the community. (3) To Assist individuals in furthering his/her education in order to improve quality of life. (4) To present a biblical world view of family living and responsibility.
Director: Day Morgan is a Board Member of Bridge of Grace. She is interim director while we look for a director to take the role on for this organization.
Staff: There are currently two instructors in this program. They are bilingual (Spanish/English) and work with us in the area of ESL at this time. We hope to use them in other ways as the program progresses.
